Matcha Tea Latte and Pearl Milk Tea (Concoction Guide/Review)

Thirteenth - Concoctions:
Matcha Tea Latte with Red Beans
and
Pearl Milk Tea

As an avid fan of the most oldest and healthier way of drinking tea popularized in Japan called "Matcha". We tried out this Matcha Tea Latte blend and Pearl Milk Tea from Chatime at Veranza Mall with my companion Maggi (my partner).

Matcha Tea Latte with Red Beans:
»This has a distinctive tea accent (not sure if this is "real matcha"); not the one that I've been looking for and also this comes with slightly bitter aftertaste.

»The red beans on the other hand counters the bitterness of the matcha thus creating an earthy, sandy, mushy textural elements which is serendipitously jaw-dropping. It gives bite to the whole concoctional refreshment which is surprisingly delicious!

Overall, very clean and straightforward. Never in my life that this would become a brilliant combination from two different categories in which a green tea were best paired with beans. 😅😂👍

And besides this has become a total stunner! No wonder their menu stated a strong point that indicates "it is best paired with red beans". 👏👏👏

♨Fun Fact:
Matcha (literally “ground tea” in Japanese) was first developed in China during the 10th century and made it way over to Japan in the 12th century; so there are almost one thousand years of history in your cup!

»Matcha Growing
20 days before harvest, tea that will eventually be ground into Matcha is shaded by a cloth. This boosts the plant’s chlorophyll levels, giving them a darker and richer green color and a stronger (and sometimes more bitter) flavor. After the leaves are dried, the stems and veins are removed before the leaves are ground into a fine powder with a dust-like consistency. The best Matcha in the world is grown in southern Japan, in Uji, Nishio, Shizuoka, and Kyushu.

»Health Benefits of this Super Food!
Matcha has a deserving reputation as a superfood and is chock-full of health benefits. Unlike regular green tea, where the leaves are dipped in water and removed, when drinking Matcha, you consume the whole leaf dissolved in water. Consuming the whole leaf means you digest more benefits like antioxidants called polyphenols, which have been shown to boost your metabolism and improve protection against heart disease and cancer, as well as fight aging.

While Matcha contains almost as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, the l-theanine levels can help keep you calm but alert.

»Everything in a Japanese tea ceremony is veiled with meaning.
The driving concept is...
ichi-go ichi-e, or “one time, one meeting
- that every experience happens only once, and should be savored and enjoyed.

Pearl Milk Tea:
»This is probably going to be my favorite with smooth, clean and sharp tea taste with a robust and appealing lush green tea aroma and delicate flavor with a balancing milky feel. When it comes to its sweetness, it's just balance, in a way that your're going to witness and enjoy the green tea and milky flavor at the same time in perfect harmony without you having trouble with its sugar content. Simple yet decadent!

Not to mention it also has black chewy pearls, that means while sipping you have to chew on them creating fun feeling of eating big tapioca balls. Gorgeous! 😃😆

Native Chicken BBQ (Food Review) - Delicious!

Eighth Dish: Native Chicken BBQ Hey guys! I was amazed about this new food hub in Gensan called FOOD TRIP PLAZA . Being here makes me drool, but not just that, I felt truly intimidated because of its wide array of stunning and gorgeous dishes; I just can't simply make a decision from what or which is to order for the past 30-45mins. I just roamed around and asked few stalls regarding their dishes. First off, I asked the TALABA STATION which offers a good varieties of seafoods and shellfishes, but sad to say, as I was craving for their fresh oysters they actually ran out of supply that their next fresh delivery from Iloilo were scheduled 6-7pm during that time I went there, beacause I arrived passed 4pm already and in my hunger I took a stroll and observe some stalls and if I find their dishes welcoming nor appetizing. While having this commotion in me, nonetheless of the choices that were made flat on their table counters; I felt like in restraint to eat or make ...

Native Chicken Inasal and Banana Split (Food Review)

Fifth Dish: Native Chicken Inasal I tried eating at TANOK'Z Chicken Hauz at SM Gensan (located at ground floor), because they are serving "only" a free range chicken or NATIVE CHICKEN which they were known for. This is my first time eating here and this is my experience. MY VERDICT about their food: Tanok'z Chicken Inasal (Pecho Part without drinks  Php 105 ) Size: Just half a size compared to Mang Inasal's Pecho Part. Flavor: The natural umami of the chicken that was left is only about 20-30%, slightly smoky flavor of 15-25%, saltiness of around 30% at most (well seasoned). Texture and doneness: Dry and overdone, chicken has lost almost 99% of moisture (basically dried out already). Which results to a mellow chickeny flavor. It is like almost eating a flavored paper. 😅 But their "free" SOUP does the magic creating a synergistic effect and balance using a light creamy corn soup and a mellow chickeny flavour (chicken inasal) mend t...

Pad Thai, a stir fried noodle dish (Food Guide + Full Review)

Fifteenth Dish: Pad Thai (Stir fried rice noodles) After this long day to finish my errands, I just love to treat myself and my plan was to search for good quality Pork Sisig then went to FOOD TRIP PLAZA then later arrived at around 4:33 pm, since that Turks' Shawarma wasn't good enough to keep me going. When I reach out onto some stalls, I haven't found any that sure has got some calibre to call this as their specialty; I just nod to few of them who offers this type of dish which is for me a "so-so sisig" (not the best and also not the kind of which that I've been looking for that has some thickener which uses either pork brain, chicken liver, mayonnaise or a combination of which), they are perhaps serving it the classical way. Some of which that I've asked was a cheerful girl staff from YUBABA , typically there are two sisig choices in their menu the "Sizzling Pork Sisig" with two different price range but of the same name -- t...
